My limited experience was that Mormons are as barmy as we were, and having them round for a chat is something I really recommend. No seriously, they, like JW's, doubtless have lots of nice people, but any brief analysis of their belief structure just leads to a really great laugh! Honestly! my sister was recently disfellowshipped and she told me that she was eating in a restaurant yesterday when the elder that disfellowshipped her was seated at the table next to her.
of course they would not breathe a word to her.
but her son (4 years old) had kept saying hello over and over to the elder and his wife and they both refused to acknowledge him, smile of even say hello back.

I suppose the conflict between believing in divine directed evolution is that Adam needs to have existed as the first man, to have fallen, neccesitating Jesus etc etc.

i finally ordered this book from the book store as i have heard some good things about it .
also want to know more about how cults i.e.
jehovah's witnesses and other cults think so as to see how to communicate with more insight to my witness daughters 20 and 19 .

Great book, always a good recommend for dubs & ex dubs. Especially good for dubs as it is not aposto and doesn't talk about the Witchtower,so they can read it without The Witch persecuting them.
i would like someone to discuss some issues i have.

i was a pioneer for 7 years, before that i was a regular auxiliarry pioneer for 3 years, i have been a witness for 17 years.
Dear Inactive?, well, this happened in my crazy Congo...
A single mum pioneer sister, the nicest person you would ever meet, was declared from the platform to no longer being a pioneer. Just that, Sister x is no longer a pioneer of Jehovah's Witnesses. Nothing else. Lots of people started to treat her very cooly. Yet, she continued to put in full pioneer hours, do cleaning duties, go to all meetings etc. I know.
Shortly after, an apparently unrelated event, an MS was announced he is no longer an MS, but also we were told to encourage those who are weak blah blah show extra love... etc. specifically designed so that we should show special love for this man. Very different to the way the pioneer sister was announced, yes?
Turns out the MS was a child molester, and the elders were essentiall covering this up, sick f***ers. If he hadn't been reported to the police by a non-JW whose child he molested he would never have been convicted.
Later, I find out one of the children he exposed himself to was the pioneer sister's daughter. My theory is they were discrediting her in advance, just in case she ever warned others about this evil man. I not saying this has any bearing at all on you or your daughter's experience, but I relate it just to show how a body of elders can suddenly turn on a completely innocent person.

a very interesting article showing that most twins have natural intertwin transfusions.

The statement by Mr Gough is misleading, he is clearly under the influence of the Witches HLC henchmen. To store enough blood in advance, when she was healthy, to use in an operation would have led to her disfellowshipping, she did not do this, so his statement can be misleading. The blood cell salvage machine, as I understand it, can re-use blood being lost at the time in theatre, which is completely different from a transfusion from previously stored blood. And with massive sudden blood loss the machine would, as far as I can tell from some other posters on this subject, be of little, if any, value. What she needed was a substantial transfusion, which she refused.
To blame the staff for at least trying a probably useless proceedure shows how desperate they wanted to help. That they were not sure how to use it probably indicates that this proceedure is never used for sudden massive blood loss as it is ineffective. That's how I am reading it anyway.
It is quite a shamefull and no doubt deliberate strategy on the part of the HLC to try and shift the blame in the public's eye to the hospital staff and away from where the blame really lies which is the teaching of The Witch.
Any comments on the article about natural blood transfusion between twins in the womb and that The Witch chooses to ignore it? Maybe it's old news here but it was "new light" for me!
